Job Description:

Purpose:

The Maintenance Planner and Scheduler is making sure that all required work orders for a distribution terminal are planned in time with the correct information and quality.

The maintenance planner and scheduler is responsible for the following key workstreams across a region:

Carry out work order planning in SAP PM and CM. Ensure the work is planned with realistic end dates, using correct resources. Generate the work orders and ensure they are supplied to the site(s). Support the Operations and Maintenance Controller (OMC) in the execution of the scheduled works where necessary, and monitor the progress of all work orders. Work closely with all the sites under the defined jurisdiction to ensure maintenance activities are closed off. Confirm and system close all work orders as they are completed. Understand and facilitate the purchasing of external resources for the sites, consistent with Products, Goods and Services (PGS) and Distribution Global Asset Management Excellence (DGAME) processes. Ensure all data on the SAP PM work orders is accurate and compliant with the DGAME processes. Publish list of planned work, updated with breakdown work to provide an integrated schedule for the sites. Together with OMC review all work orders for scope, cost and timing before release. Coordinate the maintenance tasks to ensure optimum use of resources, particularly with regard to mobilization efficiencies. Identify errors, improvements, and efficiencies in an existing PM system this may include changed maintenance practices, revised schedules etc. Must drive compliance with global standards.

Dimensions:

Interfaces with Global Information and Management Service Lead, Regional Engineering Service Leads (RESL) , Maintenance Execution Coordinator, Operation Maintenance Coordinators, Data Admins.

Understanding of the DGAME Manual intent and processes including the 6 pillars:


Pillar 1: Site critical documents (Plot Plans, P&ID, Cause and Effect, etc)
Pillar 2: Asset Register & Tagging
Pillar 3: Identification of Safety Critical Equipment from site HEMPs (Hazard and Effect Management Process)
Pillar 4: Reliability and Inspection plan (Inspection &Maintenance regimes)
Pillar 5: Maintenance Execution
Pillar 6: Storage of Asset records in the Asset Information Management System – Electronic Document Management System (AIM-EDMS) and relevant updates due to execution of Projects and Maintenance.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Pro-actively plan preventive and corrective work orders. Identify inconsistencies in maintenance scheduling. Interact with Global I&M service lead, RESL’s and MEC’s at working level to understand upcoming activities and support requirements. Ensure consistent application of the DGAME Manual. Understanding of the R&I plans for the responsible terminals.

Overall responsibility is to ensure the Terminals are provided with accurate planned work orders, with the correct resources.


Close contact with terminal OMC’s
Plan Work orders with provided information
Assign correct required resources
Monitoring work orders and assisting the OMC in on time execution of work orders
Update work orders according to approved extensions
Review work orders for closure
Provide Subject matter expert role service towards Operations and/or Engineering


KEY CHALLENGES :


Driving standardization across all Terminals in line with DGAME Manual.
Interaction with different terminals in different countries with different cultures.
Flexible, able to deal with time constraints.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE :


Strong IT capabilities across multiple platforms (MS Office, SharePoint).
Strong background and experience in SAP PM (Plant Maintenance) and or CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
Strong understanding of maintenance and maintenance planning
Multi discipline engineering experience or background preferably within I&M.
Preferable experience in Refinery, Oil and Gas Processing Facility or Terminal Operations
Experience of working remotely and virtually with international teams.
Knowledge in Asset Integrity Management
Excellent communication skills written and verbal in English
Familiar with electronic data management systems e.g. SharePoint / EDMS
Experience in bringing change across diverse cultures and over a large geographical spread.


Competence :

A degree in any Mechanical or Chemical engineering discipline and at least 3 years of relevant experience.
