Job Description
Responsible for functioning in a technical support role to both the Customer and sales team by providing knowledgeable expertise in chemical grouping, a variety of disposal options, approvals, RCRA, DOT regulations and compliance. Provides guidance to field operations staff as well as administrative support to achieve client’s goals in determining most cost-effective methods in delivering quality services at a high level of satisfaction.
1. Develops proposals and sales quotations.
2. Contacts customers on an as-needed basis regarding specific job related requirements, obtaining additional information, and job satisfaction and quality.
3. Maintains customer information in AS-400 and sales file including customer file which may include customer correspondence, contracts, waste profiles, pricing, and current profiles, costs, and all pricing on individual account basis.
4. Prepares purchase orders.
5. Identifies and tracks transportation, lab analysis and vendor costs.
6. Schedules customer pick-ups and creates customer paperwork such as manifests, landbans, labels, etc.
7. Selects and obtains new waste profiles with respect to customer preference, technology, cost and facility approval.
Qualifications ● High School diploma or GED equivalent required
● Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry or related discipline preferred.
● 3 to 5 years in the hazardous waste industry preferred.
● Computer proficient in Quote-to-Cash, AS-400, and Microsoft Office.
● Knowledge in environmental technologies.
● Knowledge of internal and external disposal site capabilities and limitations.
● Knowledgeable in DOT/EPA regulations and VES-TS policies and procedures.
